Radiation Damage in High Entropy Alloys

Radiation Damage in High Entropy Alloys

Summary

As a doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki, I studied radiation damage in high entropy alloys, in the context of structural components for nuclear reactors. All studies were purely computational, using molecular dynamics to simulate prolonged irradiation in the investigated materials. Results from the studies were published in several peer-reviewed articles, as well as my doctoral dissertation “Radiation Damage in High Entropy Alloys” (see publications below).

My role: Running molecular dynamics simulations, analysing simulation data, authoring papers presenting results, teaching.

Tools: Linux, CSC supercomputers, Python, OVITO, PARCAS (molecular dynamics code).
